Do you really forget how DONDA 1 went when it was hardly six months ago lol



This is not the final product. The stems were given out as a fan thing. These ratings might be justified in the end, but it's far too unfair and early to make that call yet.

people were talking minor adjustments when they saw the state of donda 1. It was like “oh this song needs a beat (jail)” or “oh I can hear the backtrack on this pop smoke song (which he never fixed)”

This album is more than unfinished and needs minor tweaks and adjustments, it’s actively full of shit takes and dumb song ideas not worth pursuing or expanding upon. I still have my issues with donda but even in it’s unfinished state it was far more worth consuming than this will ever be dawg man

Come on, Nol. You can't seriously think this is the final album when we have a direct comparison with DONDA 1.



DONDA 1 went through extensive changes with songs being added or removed and massive production changes from the first listening party to final release. The final album may end up being terrible, but to treat this as anything close to final is being willfully ignorant.



Kanye lies about things all the times. Remember when he said Pablo would never release anywhere but Tidal? Yeah, that sure came true. The stems that are currently out literally have entire verses of just mumbling. It's more for a super fan thing, and you'd kinda have to be to buy the stem player. I think it sucks he lies about release dates but this is not the final version. There have been clips and leaks of more finished-sounding versions even.



Rating this thing right now is just dumb.

I am not disagreeing with it being shitty that he lies about release dates or takes advantage of his fans, but that doesn't have much bearing on the fact that this is not the final album and that treating the version that is out as anything but is silly.



I think there are a lot of cool ideas/catchy hooks on here that I hope are fleshed out in interesting ways. Too Easy and Security are probably the ones I'm looking forward to most. Overall, I think we have a sketch of a pretty interesting album that I hope sticks the landing.

I was pretty dialed into the first DONDA rollout and even went to the first and third listening parties. I can tell you that the sentiment for the first DONDA was highly negative after the first listening party as well. I seriously can't believe that there's such a short term memory about this.



I agree that Kanye lying about shit is really shitty but at this point, this knowledge is kinda baked in. The stem player is a cool piece of tech even without DONDA 2. If someone honestly bought it thinking that it would be the only way to ever experience DONDA 2 and that it would release on 2/22/22, after all his antics, after literally delaying or scrapping almost every project he's announced, that's kinda their own fault. We got demos and one helluva spectacle that hints at what will be. The album will probably drop in a month after another party or two.
