people are really hung up on the synthpop songs, but i think they're all pretty fantastic - she's definitely learned how to craft a strong hook.
what i havent seen discussed much is how the non-synthpop songs / ballads are some of the most boring, lifeless songs she's ever written - this album is a pretty mixed bag overall.

Edit: There are exactly 3 good tracks here, the run from Heat Lightning to Love Me More. The rest is just barely bearable.
