I'm only 27, so I was born right at the tail-end of grunge; lots of good albums that year, like Superunknown, Illmatic, etc. I was also born on the exact 3-year anniversary of Freddie Mercury's death, which is pretty crazy

Haha nope, I was only 13 when I actually started lurking on the site. I'm not even sure how I found Sput, considering I was only dedicated to ProgArchives at the time. But I do distinctly remember the first review I ever read on Sput, which was Kit Brown's review of The Faceless' Planetary Duality
