Yeah, I'd echo Noctus on all of the above, maybe some early Sun Kil Moon as well. And this is more left-field, but Sunhouse's Crazy On The Weekend's softer moments remind me (at least in atmosphere) of the folkier side of this as well.

Yeah this one veers really close to straight up folk. I wonder if that could be the next stage for him after this (in 5 years that is).

Only in the middle of my second listen atm but I am feeling that this thing is excellently structured. I really dig the progression of intensity in the first three tracks, from the entirely acoustic "Reveal" to the soft/undistorted electric "Behind My Eyes" to the (still pretty softly) distorted electric guitars and harder acoustic strums of "Until". Then "Colours" is an excellent "short" and lighter reprieve before the return to longer and more intense songwriting in the second half.

my concern is that the opening track is my favourite, but this style of music isn't something i'm comfortable returning to regularly

I was happier in that place where I was convincing myself it’s slowcore with a side-dish of post-rock

Certified gorgeous

Definitely an extremely...passive album? It's strange-its highly emotive and hypnotizing yet I find it highly easy to stick in the background while doing other things as well.

Walker's voice is soft and broken but mesmerizing as usual.

Demon, even if you don’t end up falling for this I’d recommend checking out Walker’s previous material, both under this moniker and Warning; I have a feeling that would be much more to your liking.
