Nothing has impressed me, quite far from The Dusk in Us.

not for me. It’s still way too early to say but this might be my favorite Converge album. If not it’s right behind Jane Doe. Everything here is damn near perfect.

"Nothing has impressed me, quite far from The Dusk in Us."
Quite these types of statements and bias I was afraid with this coming out under only "Converge" belt

I'd check both multiple times, would start here though... ya know, for context and shit. Whatever you do read the linear notes, snag the turquoise vinyl variant and remember to hang upside-down whilst jamming m/

Album of the year for me, it's nearly perfect. Wasn't impressed by Coil at first, but it flows so well with the rest that now it's one of my faves. 4.5 at the moment, and might even grow.

How much Chelsea is actually on this?
|

This was pretty boring for me on my first listen. Not much stood out. The heavy parts had major Dusk In Us vibes, which ultimately didn't have staying power for me in the end. Lord of Liars and Failure Forever stood out the as the best on the first listen

Pleasantly surprised with how much I have enjoyed this on my first spin through. When they initially dropped the Blood Moon single I figured it would be a pass for me. Definitely feels like a fall/winter type album.

Converge is hit or miss for me. I really liked All We Love We Leave Behind, Axe to Fall, and Jane Doe (likely in that order), and the rest has been mostly forgettable albeit technically solid. I'll listen to this but I'm not expecting it to be as good as those 3 albums of theirs that I still return to.
