Band hasn't made a bad album yet as far as I'm concerned, and I fully expected to hate this after the singles

I don't know how to feel about this album. I listen to it and there are moments and a few songs that are very touching, but together it feels kind of disjointed and intangible.

Lots of filler on this I don't care for but when it gets grooving its gets really grooving.

I still don’t know what to make of it. Surprised at how much I enjoyed the clean sections but it’s too long and god the lyrics are lame

Maybe One Day is the spiritual successor to Forever by Breaking Benjamin. And I like that.

This band just doesn't do much for me. They throw in all these awkward cleans, samples and random shit in their songs, but they don't really have any good riffs or hooks. I saw them live and it seemed like they we're just standing there letting the backing tracks do all the work (pardon the pun). It was really bizarre.

Focus, Clean, and The Void…are the only songs I find worth listening to. Huge disappointment esp after Where Owls…

nah dude its nothing about that. the avg is pre fine. Walk in the thread some pages back and you see the recurrence of bashing - its actually funny how important ppl feel because they know precisely how the drums should sound, and of course not the artist.

Can't say both sides didn't laugh for the past couple of years XD thread went in a loop since day 1 lol

And yes I would call bashing/hating to a 4AVG album in which 80% to 90% of the comments are from 2s and 2.5s. My explanation for that happening is that the true fans are silent...like the owls, except when they're mating and when they are they're just too busy to reply XD

smol error in the conclusion "they seemingly just do not give a half of a flying *** as to what the outside world things of them"

The end of Clockwork, the bridge of Clean, the entirety of Void and Maybe One Day and the end of the final track are the only standout parts for me

“they seemingly just do not give a half of a flying *** as to what the outside world thinks of them"

I’d argue they care too much about what the world thinks about them and that is why this whole album reads like the diary of a 13 year old girl complaining about how she’s so misunderstood.

Honestly it’s not even that it’s more of Tom DeLonge going “work sucks, I know”
