"A Fearful Symmetry" is really good, the rest has been a bit underwhelming tbh.

yeah idk, seems alright as background music, or as an audiovisual experience, but I don't think this can achieve the same impact without the visuals, judging from that video on YT.

Yeah Bounty Hunter is gr8 and idk, most of Ulver's best work since as far back as Shadows has been minimalistic atmospheric pieces with good layering and this is no different in that regard

I wish this just developed a bit more, it's a nice record to have on but doesn't pull me in like a drone album would with its atmosphere so just ends up feeling like it goes on twice as long as it needs to

Yeah same with their other drone ones where this could've benefited from shorter run times and more variety. Thats why the zodiac album is their best in terms of that style.

this isn't a drone album outside of the first track
the AGSFOAWOJ album is the best in terms of variety without a doubt, but the way its drone tracks were interspersed between its psych cuts really harmed the pacing imo. this does much better airing that style in its entirety early on and then centralising itself around ambient beats
