Hadn’t listened to this since I was 16 (36 now), but going back through all the Pumpkins discog recently (Aeroplane and Gish up next).
This is fantastic. Much better than I remember it being (I liked it st the time, but would rather just throw on SD or MC). Being older now, I can appreciate it more. Favorite tracks after a few listens: Plume, Starla, Hello Kitty Kat and Blew Away. That’s only after two listens though. Liable to change.

Revisiting this after at least 6 years, man I forgot how good it is. Having now heard all their 90s material I can say they really were pretty unstoppable in that decade.

"Blew Away" is such a pretty tune. This might actually have a better balance of the Pumpkins' soft and heavy side than any of their proper albums. In any case this flows well enough and is more than consistent enough to be considered a real album.
