"production is genuinely not good"

Always been their biggest issue imo

This ep whips

Probably one of the only times I found keys actually enjoyable in deathcore. The t/t has this almost whimsical feeling playing atop dem vicious snarls which I appreciate.

On paper, a deathcore band with symphonic elements where they try and be the heaviest you can possibly be on breakdowns sounds bad but these guys absolutely rule.

Haven’t been that impressed with a new (to me) extreme vocalist since I first heard Davy in JFAC like 15 years ago.

The production isn't incredible but with so many notes and dense arrangements there are compromises that need to be made. Sounds fine to me overall.

Tbh the production is fine. I'd like to hear some more of those little subtle cymbal crashes and whatnot but nailing perfect tech deathcore production is a massive feat so it's way forgivable I think

They're recording a full length later this year. Hope they can bring enough variation to fill it out well, they've got the talent for sure but I agree with others that have said that for what this EP is doing, 3 songs is plenty.

Still, I'm excited by the potential.

They just keep hammering the melody in your head like... for the love of god, I get it. Of the Abyss melody, And I Return to Nothingness melody, you don't have to repeat it continuously for the entire 4 minute and 6 minute run time, and I mean CONTINUOUSLY.
