I'm pretty sure Daniel Corcuera, the artist who painted the album's cover, loves Alex Grey.

Well I'll be damned, this déjà vu has been bugging me for days. Lateralus, of course, that's it.

Actually, I remember liking that album a lot, back in the days. I just may revisit, any day soon.

Ænigmatum was a pleasant surprise, I wasn't expecting it to be so cool.

I ended up checking Diskord and I am checking this now.

Diskord was fun but I don't know if I wanna jam it more than twice, THIS on the other hand, uh baby, this calls me from the crypts beyond and I'm loving it.

An interesting journey isn't it? It also has good replay value. Given the longevity of the songs, some people may feel more comfortable taking a break between them. This way, you should be able to listen to each chapter/track with fresher ears.

Dewi, completely agreed. Diskord was good for a listen but not something I can deeply get into. This, however, is the gift that keeps on giving

Well I think the opposite so far but I can be wrong. And honnestly its not really a fair comparison. Fun death metal with songs and riffs vs a piece of 2 huge songs to dive on an ominous listen.

Anyways, I can see myself giving diskord way more easy listens than this here. Also got the impression that this relies a little too much on the atmosphere.

Preferences aside, this was among my favorite weeks of the year so far. 🔥 Qrixkuor, Diskord & Ænigmatum 🔥

Bohemyst's debut is also great, but I don't think that one will get a warm reception around here.
