I loved all three singles released. I figured the album would be just as dynamic as those three songs, but it feels as if all the other songs are just variations of any of the singles. Kind of disappointing.

I could get that maybe from "Ruse", but I feel that every track has a very distinct feel. Title track, "Coil", "Entwined".... they took some listens to crack them, cause I was used to the singles already but once I did I realized how good and solid the whole album is. Still not fully sold on the closer though.

She was in Whirr for one album yeah, loooong time ago, she has done a lot of stuff since then.

Check Miserable if you like her stuff with Whirr, Steak, it's also shoegazy pop.

Feels like some concessions might’ve been made for broader appeal, but if this turns a couple normies towards doom then I’m all for it.

can't decide which is better, this or the new Lantlos. regardless, this Friday had two 10 / 10 records and that makes it the best day for music so far in 2021.

you'd call Miserable pop? i love Miserable but i wouldn't call it pop, i'd call it straight doomgaze.

Sugar High has some strong pop elements tho

she's got the rap project Dalmatian too

@quetzal I wouldn't say it's doomgaze, she actually call it her dream pop project, but whatever, labels, it's gazy, it's chill, it's good.

I didn't like Dalmatian at all, but I don't like the genre to begin with, NGHTCRWLR was interesting though.
