Re:"doomgaze" - I had to look it up someone took enough time to write a history of the genre but I'm still going to claim credit.

Doomgaze seems like a good way to describe it yeah.

Yeah I’m shocked I’m the only one. I just can’t say it’s well written at all. Oh well

it's ok butt. id rec her earlier stuff, but it's mostly the same shit.

I can't say I'm in love with it. Other than those parts where the static hangs in the air of course.

I'd call this doomgaze, and doomgaze absolutely exists. Jesu, Planning for Burial, some Have a Nice Life, Holy Fawn, Greet Death, Cloakroom, Nadja, The Angelic Process, etc.
Check out the arcticdrones doomgaze playlist on Spotify, it's pretty fantastic. I feel like they stretch doomgaze a bit but it's whatever, I like the whole thing. I'm not sure I'd call Bare Wire Son and Sugar Horse doomgaze, for example.

colorado is good
ngl i think i like her first album the most, after doing a discog playthrough recently. i'm not a huge fan of how a lot of her recent stuff goes really minimal in terms of the elements and the songwriting. I guess it's more "distilled" but doesn't grab my interest the same way.

kinda hard to tell the songs apart from each other and the production overall is a bit bland. still the trademark midwife sound comes through and the vocals are nice as usual for the most part

The vocals are the most boring part of it tbh :-(
