So I'm listening to their newest EP first and mildly...whelmed. The pieces are all in place. I like the chugs and the vocalist and his melodies. It's just so dang short and barren.
But reading about this LP gives me hope. This EP came on automatically after lots of Ebonivory and Valis Ablaze (two seriously underrated bands) so I'm hoping it's in the same sonic ballpark.

uhhhh ya halfway into first track, this is a lot chuggier in a good way than the new EP, for my tastes. Mmmmm. I love discovering an unheard album like this. Going to blast it loud on my commute home : )

Glad you found this, Nomo. They def embraced their melodic side more on the new EP.

Whoah my opinion flip-flopped, I gave the EP the headspace it needed and now I prefer it! What an atmosphere!
Reminds me of Valis Ablaze/Skyharbor....and...remember that pop-punk adjacent band that vanished into thin air like a decade ago, Kadawatha? They were Swedish too. Guilty pleasure stuff. I haven't thought about them in many years but the vocalists' higher notes unlocked that old memory in me.
Can't wait for more material in the vein of "Listening", which is the kind of cathartic release I listen to music in the first place for. That little Baglama tune in the crescendo is killer.

Just got to Wild Horse, I could really do without the screms, they're not particularly good imo

This was decent but it pales in comparison to the ep

Liking this one a lot more too after a few more listens. Meanders a bit here and there where concision would have helped. What is that melodic, bittersweet series of notes? chord progression? at the start and end of Wild Horse? I am in love with it. That little chug has so much more emotion than 99% of prog metal guitars.

They don't do a lot of self-marketing, and they don't really tour.
