Dedes, I agree. I don’t think they’re nearly as off-putting as say, Bert McCracken’s of The Used, who I’d say is a close comparison. Plus, even if people don’t like them, Green is there to level some of it out. I personally like the trade off, love each of their screams, and appreciate some of the way their lines entwine around each other like early Taking Back Sunday material. It’s pretty unique for the genre.

I'd love for them to re-record all of A Fragile Hope with the dual vocals, would be so cool. But that'll be left with just 'Awaiting the Flood' that they did in 2017 I guess! Better than nothing...

Can we talk about the last two minutes or so of “But Not Forgotten”? It’s just blissful.

I hate to keep posting to death in this thread, but I'm changing my rating to a 5. The initial weaker songs here - "Witness Marks", "Signal Fire", and "Acrimony" are only growing on me and getting better and better. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge a special album when you hear it and Loss is one of those for me.

You listing those as the weaker tracks is very troubling. But yeah I could see this being 5 worthy. I 5 basically nothing but if I were a bit more loose with it I might give it to this, as far as this style goes I don't see anyone doing better.

Red forever stands at the top of the whiny vocalist pedestal tbh.

Durrzo, haha yeah, I know! Everywhere I look people are listing those three as their favorites. I get it, but I was drawn to "Ardour", "Tateishi", and "But Not Forgetten" much more right off the bat. Regardless, it's fun to see varied favorites.

Yup. I put Ed on the same level when it comes to screams, may even prefer him at times, but Paul's cleans are king.

I think if the whiny vocals comprised all of the cleans on this album, it would be probably be a bit too much for me. But they find a nice blend all round here. Never heard of these guys before but this is a pretty good listen so far.
