is funny how the vocals totally dominate in a way but they barely scan with what's underneath - really feels like "read this teleprompter...oh do you mind if I play 'Goo' while you finish?"

These instrumentals are very much my style but god do those vocals get irritating after a few songs

Definitely check out LITHICS and Drahla. I think they do this sort of thing a lot better and a lot less flat and monotone, if that's what's bugging you.

I don't necessarily mind monotone vocals, I love Matt Berninger for example, but the singer here just takes it too far in my opinion. I'll check those out

Hope you dig it.

Oh, and everyone should also check the EPs. That's the real takeaway from all this.

"If the fella's got a plethora of post-punk lists lying around somewhere, I'd like to think we'd've been pals."

They've all been deleted, at least on Graveyard. But if you can find his previous alt, that one should still have plenty of post-punk lists. Also, iirc, he dislikes the majority of popular post-punk that came out after ~2000 ;]

This isn't bad but I can't pretend it's really good. a 3-ish is probably fair. It's like what Landfill Indie would have sounded like if Life Without Buildings were as famous as they deserved to be.

I think my sparkling hot take is that there are more good bands around now than ever before but very very few great bands
