Don't dig this quite as much as No One Mourns the Wicked but it may just take a few listens. Still scratched the itch.

I don't think it helps that it's so inconsistent. The songs can be individually good for the most part, but they don't really blend too well together.

I think it's because of that inconsistency that I've initially rated it so low. If it rises, great. But while some songs bang, others get a little repetitive. So we'll see what happens with this one.

I agree. This isn't nearly as thematically cohesive as the last one, which was a big part of the appeal then. This is still a 3.5 for me already.

I think the highlights are definitely super high. They got a great edge to them with the beat diversity. Love the ominous synths that crop up.
