Spiders Up Sequoias gives me the same warm feeling as 'Towing the Line' from Noonday Dream. I'd definitely add Ben Howard to the recommended by reviewer section, which I of course mean as a compliment. This is a pretty noticeable improvement over Proper Nouns, which I also enjoyed.



Edit: Finished the album and it's definitely a beaut. One of 2021's better releases early in thus far. Loved the melodies on Spiders and Three-Dog Nights, but they wouldn't succeed to the extent that they do without the atmosphere established by the others. Toes a fine line between ambient and indie-folk, I really dig it.

Lovely write up Phero, if you edit your review, you can get that "shite" in without the asterisks.

Gotta check this, Anatelier's last album was a beauty.

After first listen, I'm super hyped about this album. Proper Nouns only got better with each listen, and feel like this one will too. I love this type of atmospheric music.

this is prob a 3.5 with subsequent plays, only had a chance to play it once tho. rn i think proper nouns is the better album, but only time will tell
