This record is severely lacking in the riff department. Most of them are absolute cookie cutter, but it seems like a very vocal-centric album anyway. Unfortunately the hooks fail to land and Sanders and Puciato are overproduced, I suppose because they’re just not very good singers. In fact the whole album sounds overly polished and bland. Personally never loved Puciato’s nasal style and Sanders works better when he’s less melodic and has actual good guitar work to back him up. Cavalera I can’t take seriously at all. Lyrics are cringe as well. I’ll pass.
