Imagine how epic it would have been if Robyn had a feat on this instead of throwing away her guest quota for the month on that mediocre Jonsi record

Honestly simeutaneously impressed and disappointed about this overall. I like all the 2018 singles better than anything on this and those tracks had me hyped for a new LP from her for a couple years now. My expectations were very specifically set. There is something very conceptually cohesive about this that deserves to be lauded and makes the end result greater than the sum of its parts, however.

big agree. I dunno if i'll revisit this soon, tbh. Apretiate it more as an overall "piece". As individual "songs", i can't say there's anything here that really grabbed me. The mood is fun, tho.

The last 3 tracks is a pretty epic stretch but yeah totes. Most of the songs are very static on their own.

Simulation is the perfect example of what I was talking about. It's very very static, but it also could not more perfectly open the album and set the tone / illustrate the conceptual depth

I mean that was pretty much equal parts praise and criticism, I like the song. I like all of the songs. Being static doesn't mean it's bad.

Yeah considering how static a lot of the tracks are and also how long some of them are it's pretty incredible how little steam they lose, which I think is again due in no small part to how conceptually tight it is

the beginning of Kingdom of Endz reminds me a lot of Hawkwind's Assault and Battery
