Hip hop isn’t technically music, according to my father who went to music school.

Those track ratings don't really align with your album ratings though

I always average out ratings when I do that to see how close it is lol. Think of each song as an individual averaging out as a 4.2, but the experience as a whole adds the other .8. Clean on its own is a 3.5/5, but fits very well into the context of the album and provides a really important context lyrically. Lyrically its honestly probably one of my favorite songs on the album, but it's not the most engaging for me lyrically.

It's like if I put my 12 favorite, 5/5 songs on an album together it wouldn't make it a 5/5 album cause the songs themselves wouldn't make a cohesive album.

What dmathias said, also consistency comes into play. For example an album where every song is a 4 could easily be a 4.5 for me because it's very rare to encounter an album where literally every song is excellent.

Also I'm surprised more people don't like Jubilee. I thought that was a clear highlight.

Upon a few more listens this is a tad soft rock for me to fully embrace but it is great stuff for sure.

Yessss let Brave make you overly emotional

Jubilee definitely has potential for top three, it was honestly one of my least favorites at first but keeps growing
