I'm enjoying Faceless Burial but I have to say that this has the edge over it, a lot more of a memorability factor in comparison. Plus, the bass here is a main player whereas there it's not used much. Drumming is very entertaining though; these both have that in common I feel.

I don’t know how to feel about this yet - it’s technically impressive (dat bass!) and they’ve condensed their influences into an admittedly cohesive little package... I’m just not quite sold on the result.

The dig was speculative and to serve as a simple reminder, although this is admittedly growing on me now.

yeah upon first listen this seemed kind of like a hodgepodge of ideas but listen to it more and it clearly has some underlying structure

yeah at first I was less than impressed with this. But the more I listened to it, the more the musical ideas within came to the surface and shined

Quietly excellent, not as bold and brash as some - but all the better for it. Snuck up on me from the darkened shadows when I wasn’t looking. Great use of melody, consistently cohesive progressions, insane bass. I dig the production. Impressive stuff.

It's not necessarily breaking trends or shaking things up, but it's very captivating in how they're able to present their ideas. Feels much more powerful compared to peers this year. Definitely agree that, after a few listens, the arrangements really open up to you, and you can hear how well connected it all is.
