It's a damn long time, isn't it? We have to respect Peter's perseverance and consistency throughout his career.

I guess I thought these guys had more albums.
I mean they're far from terrible. I'm not really trying to compare, I guess I'm just saying most of the time when I threw Vader on I'd think "man I could be listening to (x band) rn"

"I guess I thought these guys had more albums."
Must be because they have a bunch of EPs, singles, lives and compilations. All in all, the discography becomes massive.

Idk I feel like they have a sound that’s uniquely them but maybe cause I’ve listened so much

And you're right, they do have a very distinctive sound. Initially they were somewhere between Morbid Angel and Slayer, then they started building a signature of their own.

yeh vader's like a comfort band. if u wanna hear some fast trems and a baseline quality that's reasonably high they never fail
|

Yeah whenever I hear Vader, I can tell it's Vader. They have their formula and they just run with it; they're not evolving but just comfortably churning out material with some of their albums just slightly better executed than the others.
Still a great time live. Last time I slid across the floor in the pit.

A band named Vader with releases in 5 different decades. I'm officially intimidated.

Few death metal bands can claim to have thrown chaos in five different decades.

I never got a chance to see them live, but I bet they're super professional.

De Profundis, Litany, Impressions in Blood, Welcome to the Morbid Reich...and probably even The Ultimate Incantation
Good call. I was very impressed with Morbid Reich and Tibit Et Igni, especially how considering how far those two are into their career.

I think it would be difficult not to include De Profundis, Litany or Welcome to the Morbid Reich in the death metal hall of fame. I never really thought about it, but Morbid Reich would definitely be in my top 20.
Going to add that to my list this week along with Deicide discog. I will admit I will have to revisit these records.

Classic Vader deserves proper attention, alongside some Deicide releases. Their self-titled debut is a great jam, for example.

This was a huge step up from Empire, which I didn't like at all.

I also like this one better, but both are inferior to Tibi et Igni, in my opinion.
