Not heard this yet but this band really does need to take a couple of extra years away from recording to make their next album the best thing they've done for over 10 years. Something on par with or exceeding Nocturnal. It's all well and good being consistently good, but you need occasional punches of excellence to really punctuate the fact that the band has a particular high standard which it's never too far away from.

Artwork does rule as always. Going to give this a shot. I've always enjoy Black Dahlia but after Nocturnal I oddly kind of checked out even though it's my favorite album of theirs. I jammed Deflorate a few times and thought it was meh and bought Abysmal and enjoyed it but it only spun it a few times too.

unsurprisingly i think the melodeath riffs are ok but they seem to weirdly shy away from embracing melodicism during their choruses which kinda defeats the point of structuring songs that way in the first place.
