I’ve mentioned this before, but I feel like I have infinite 5s in music, but only like 3 5s in movies. I mean obviously I’ve heard way more albums than watched movies but I don’t think that’s it, nor is it that I like music way more than movies in general

well cinema is a complex art form with more layers to it than music (since music is just one of the aspects one can discuss for a movie) and generally a larger set of people involved, so there are more chances for things to go wrong in one aspect or another and prevent a particular film to just not make it to perfection

I am more critical of music than film. there always seems to be a song or two that I really just didn't dig, more so than a scene I hated from a favorite film. though that's the thing, I have "favorite films" but I would have to think hard if they are true 10s. that is not to say I don't have a few 10s on imdb though
