This took a couple listens to grow on me, like most of Muse's other albums, but it's so
rewarding. The album is simply epic and even the Depeche Mode-sounding songs like
Supermassive and Map Of The Problematique flow perfectly. Favorite song is still

I seriously think that if this album had two or three standout riffs on it like Hysteria, Stockholm Syndrome, Plug In-Baby, you know, it would be very nearly, if not a 5 star album.
The songwriting is overall very good with few weak tracks, just nothing here really beats Muse's top 5 tracks, or whatever.

I gotta be honest. On first listen the album didnt really catch my attention.
A bit too many slow songs and piano parts imo.
but from exo-politics which i think is the best song onwards it starts to get much better.
i like the album tho..

As long as you hate "Knights of Cydonia" that 5 is okay.
It's easily the best song on the album. I honestly loved this. I might lower my mark in a few weeks once it's sunk in more but I have never been a huge Muse fan and yet this album really clicked with me.
Some of it did remind me of Queen a bit.
