this is his worst album but scrapes the 3.5 - should have been trimmed to 40 minutes tbh

This is certainly a lot to digest, many interesting ideas to analyse.

nothin wrong with flexing those critic muscles
but sometimes you gotta let the enjoyment envelop instead of reaching for odd comparisons like johnny’s daft punk line (big lol there)

Yeah, one of my main issues is with the run time.

What I'm saying is that, if a pregnancy occurs even tho all available contraceptives are used (condoms, birth control, etc), the father does not want kids, and the mother decides to have the kid anyway, the father shouldn't be shamed for relinquishing all parental rights and walking away.
It is a womans right to do with as she pleases with her body, but a child should be wanted by all parties, and imo, for a mother to ignore the wishes of said father in this matter is selfish more than anything else. Short of some horrible disaster or bodily defect on the mother's part; it will likely not be the last time she could ever get pregnant, so why hang on to a baby that isn't wanted by all parents?
I really hope I'm nothing going to be harrassed over dms for this. I just want to know how others feel

All credit to dedex for that particular masterwork! Generally agreed though and am having a 2/5 day, so hoping to come round to this in time

Why the fuck are you bringing that discussion to a tame impala record thread?

I get that screen addiction is a real thing and if you work a 9-5 job on a computer the best thing you can do for yourself is to not look at your screen the rest of the night when you're off, I'm not talking about that.
Parents are to blame when kids get addicted to video games, television, and social media. Not the actual video game or social media.
I'm sick to death of hearing video games are ruining young people, no-bad parenting is ruining young people. Video games is just something to pass time, you can either be mature about it, not get consumed and addicted, and just like social media-knowing when to stop so as not to consume all of your life on it.
If your kid gets addicted to their screens, this isn't their fault. It's not their school's fault, it's YOUR FAULT for not taking their electronics away from them.
Also, where in the world do you think your 16 year old child needs the latest IPhone?? I get it if you're rich and have the money to just drop a thousand dollars on an Iphone for your kid but holy crap your 16 year old kid should be out making friends, studying for the SAT's, and exercising not wasting their lives on Twitter and Instagram or Snapchat.
I had a phone in high school, but it was some flip phone without internet and the only three numbers that were programmed into it were my parents and my grandmother's phone number. Your 16 year old does NOT need an IPAD mini and an IPHONE.
They need FRIENDS and parents to take them to extra curricular's.
If you're an adult with any ounce of self control you can do something about it, it's called budgeting time.... Jesus Christ some people just blame the object, not the person.

This was ok on first spin, but I’ve honestly kind of lost interest in this project. It feels like he’s kind of trying to appeal both to the band wagoners who arrived after Currents and those who want the more interesting songwriting of Lonerism but the result ends up with a lot of kind of meandering pieces that are neither snappy or catchy enough to be great pop songs nor head-trippy enough to make it a super alluring headphone listen. I may be underestimating it though, will certainly keep spinning it throughout the week.
