Living in America is so good though - seems consensus is it's not that great but it's the most snarling thing in their catalogue, love it

Thought just about every track on A Hero's Death was about 7/10. Pretty great and very consistent album overall but nothing particularly masterful or transcendent about it imo.

I know this probably doesn't actually sound like Whipping Boy, but this record sort of sounds like Whipping Boy.

Hard 4 album for me. Cracked it up to a 4.5 because I thought ‘Boys in the Better Land’ is too fuckin’ catchy not to do it. Who cares if the bass line is simple as hell and they’ve essentially stolen the drum loop from Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life” during the main verses? It works.

It's a shame that the first half is not nearly as good as the second half.
