some really great tracks on this but there's a couple i really don't like which pulls me back from jumping all in, but it's still a great album overall

Guess Onsra is one of those tracks, Noctus?

I think Onsra is the weakest track, but it's still an enjoyable listen

I never thought I would have disliked a Caspian album, sadly this is plain boring and repetitive guys.

I think we didn't listen to the same album. It could be many things but repetitive is not one of them. It's one of their most varied records dude!

So far I've only heard Nostalgist, but I don't think there's any way I won't like this.

that's just Caspian being Caspian. I mean it's not bad, it's pretty solid but nothing special.

I wish they experimented with the sound a bit more - more vocals, more electronics and stuff would be great but that's basically the same record all over again.

Nostalgist and Flowers of Light are great though

Wildblood, Flowers Of Light and Collapser are amazing

"more vocals, more electronics and stuff would be great but that's basically the same record all over again."

If they had 6 songs with vocals instead of 2, people would also complain anyway. I think they stroke a nice balance with this one.

honestly can't stand onsra, i find something really hideous about the melodies and building chords in it

i'm not super keen on flowers of light, i think it's a little too formulaic

rest is really good though, especially the two longer tracks and nostalgist

i think what's holding me back from a higher rating is that there aren't any singular tracks as good as say 'gone in bloom and bough' or the title track from the last record, but perhaps time will prove me wrong. caspian's records always tend to have like one totally knockout track for me, this has broken that cycle. though the plus side is that quality wise i'm finding this the most consistent one they've done.

Wonderful review once again, Dewi.

I’ll have to give this a spin or two when I have a chance.

Okay I already like it quite a bit more, and I have a funny feeling when my 1 of 300 European limited ed. white vinyl comes I will love it even more ; )

Alright Dewi, I'm gonna take the plunge. I just hope this isn't another First Body situation
