Fair call. It is inconsistent, though I'd personally argue Take Heart and the T/T are some of the best songs the band has ever written.

Can somebody please, for all that's holy, change the cover to the right one? I tried it like 7000 times but to no avail. My neurosis can't handle this much longer;)

will I ever understand why people consider this as prog metal since it sounds 90% like a gospel choir trying to be a pop band

It's certainly more pop than prog but tracks like gods paint a pretty straightforward picture haha
Also I'm being a needless pedant but gospel and worship aren't the same thing y'all, if this album sounded like prog gospel I'd have given it a 4!!! Get behind me satan

my friend showed me all of the highlights from this and those happened to all be the best tracks here
Sugar, The Night..., The Offering, Gods, and Blood Sport were great. I think there's definitely potential here for something outstanding.

They should just stick to EPs and cut of the fat, too many songs sound the fucking same here
Disappointment of 2019 considering the hype and how good were the first couple of cuts.

This is barely OK, can definitely see the potential but it's not a very satisfying listen. Not a fan of the lyrics, or the samey sounds throughout the record, yet I can't fault their ambition and not trying to appeal to everyone. One thing though, the vocals too often sound melodramatic, it gets really annoying after a while. Like man, crying doesn't make you sound more emotional, not in this case at least.

Was hoping this would be more like VOLA, sadly it isn't.

I think this album is amazing. I don't think it's groundbreaking like some people are saying but this band is very unique and I love their style, though I'd prefer more songs like "Higher" or "The Offering".
Also, I agree with who is saying that the album is not very well structured, "Gods" comes randomly like someone said on the previous page and some melodies that the vocalist does are not very good imo

Higher is such a good jam

fwiw, the breakdown in gods is fucking unreal

Album is inconsistent as hell bunch of songs I just wanna skip but the moments at their best are addicting as hell.
(Also they repeat the same formula so many times.. here comes the drop!)

I've been listening to this nonstop, finally understand most of their ideas in their songs, might bump this to a 4,5. I still think that the structure is kinda weird tho

bruh the dude in the crowd screaming "the debt that i owe" made me lose it

Appreciate when bands are starting out and the harsh vox sound hungry and mean.
Big touring bands pull the shit outta live harshes.
