always stood out to me the most for whatever reason and since this was my first album of theirs it's always had a special place in my heart, guess it's tied with a gothic romance for favorite cradle tune

Cradle of Filth need absolute respect by the metal masses. I mean, ok, you may not like Dani or you may think they're cheesy sometimes BUT wtf, they've been around like ages putting great effort on their live perfomances and passion on their studio efforts. Word. They riff harder than I was expecting based on their rep tbh. Thought they’d be a light watered-down parody of a BM band, yet they are anything but. Theatrical and cheesy? Yeah sure, I accept that, and that’s not exactly an uncommon concept in metal.

I'd argue that Desire is the single most effective FUCK YOU CHECK THIS SHIT to anyone who thinks Cradle are a joke, and thus one of their best. It also happens to be my favorite.



This album is just the tightest.
