Trying to argue why people are enjoying something they enjoy, then trying to defend why you enjoy something you enjoy, that they can't understand why you enjoy. Every album thread ever.

Pos, I just can't do it. I can't enjoy this as much as I try. It's so bad.

Best of the reviews. It's just nothing more than trying to be chugga-chugga-uncommon time signatures, rinse & repeat. At least 7empest is awesome.

So you're basically saying you don't get it

Haha, no. You don't get it. This is Tool at their most "2deep4u philosophical mumbo jumbo" where it shows they have put the most minimal amount of effort compared to anything and it was made to piss off their fans. It's uninspired.

So getting it means being unable to enjoy this. Right.

The only thing I "enjoyed" was just getting frustrated for a majority of the songs. The production, 7empest & perhaps Invincible are the only saving graces here.

I agree with this review. To me, the album sounds like b-sides/demos, probably the result of the drawn out start-and-stop creative process which Maynard then contributed to at the last second with lyrics and vocals.

Agreed completely with review.

It's quite clearly their worst LP. Has its quality moments but every song could have 3 or 4 minutes of material cut.
