They should have made angsty glue out of these angsty dead horses a long-ass time ago.

Serenity is their best ever for sure. Untouchables is a close second though.

This album took a few listens for me to get into. There are no "hits" on this. It feels like an album of deep cuts, which is fine. The lyrics are...yeah...however, given the subject matter of the album I can give them a pass. Same with the emotional breakdowns. After Issues, the crying and screaming fits seemed really tacky, when they happened. Again, due to the subject matter of the album, they work here. Part of what made their sound so unique in the 90s was the genuine emotion. I like that they brought that element back into their modern sound and it is authentic (whether or not you enjoy it). It must have been cathartic to mourn a loved one in this way. Not sure if it will have longevity for me, but it's definitely a solid album.

It's not as good as their last two albums but it's not terrible. I would just remove the interludes as they are really unnecessary. Lyrics are cringy sometimes for sure.

Way to harsh review.. I like their previous album way better - Hating is one of their all time best songs in their whole carrer - but it's still solid + I really thing this is the best Davis's vocal perfomance ever.. shame that the heaviness seemingly mostly faded away on this album and some songs feel like random pieces of music put together.. still a good album
