The one with shit ratings is Bart's and the one with decent ratings is Kris', I think.

One thing I'm not clear about is the genuine legal position on all of this. From the information I got, Kris had been banned from recording or releasing anything under the Batushka name while this whole thing was going on, but evidently he has done... So either there's some new development that occurred or he's breaking the law rather stupidly... I'm inclined to believe the former. But yeah, they're effectively separate bands and like was mentioned earlier in this thread or the Litourgya thread, the coincidental timings of each release does seem as if it was born from the desire to release music under the Batushka name before the other one.

the guitarist founded the band, wrote the vast majority of the material on the debut, and took on other members to help complete his album. the vocalist ended up copyrighting the band name behind his back and he went on without the guitarist and started making music and playing shows under the Batushka name. he also hijacked most of the Batushka social media platforms. so now the guitarist has brought this to court. meanwhile, they're both releasing albums under the Batushka name pretty much at the same time. this is the guitarist's album, Hospodi is the thief's album.



the former drummer came out basically saying the guitarist was an asshole and didnt want to play shows and was a diva, and the vocalist is the reason the band got so much attention (because of his connections and how he promoted the band and how he pushed it to be a serious working band and whatnot), seemingly trying to defend the fact that the vocalist stole what belonged to the guitarist. a retarded argument for obvious reasons.
