music at work here too...thus the 5 to 6 hours a day, when I don't drink at lunch ahah...don't have youtube, so I don't listen to Tool no more (I guess that's a corporate policy - don't listen to Tool!)
I use bandcamp and deezer (I have an account cause they partner with my company) works though...

If Spotify ceased to exist my life would definitely be less interesting

I hear you man.
If you haven't lived in the pre-internet world, it's hard to fathom the luxury of frequenting sites like Spotify, Bandcamp etc and checking almost everything before deciding to buy.
In the olden days, people had to throw money - sometimes ludicrous amounts - so as to get an album and tell that they really like it, since they were at the mercy of the labels and hardcopy music press.
The fun part these days is hardcopy outlets deriding webzines and still declaring that "only print is real".

You speak truth mate, the streaming platforms are indeed a luxury, but I also try to buy the print copys whenever I can. We need to support music and especially the musicians. I honestly don’t know how they make a living these days.

@TheNotrap
I agree about physical releases, the comment about "print" involved metal magazines.

hummm I think the physical releases will soon end and will be soon be barely playable...
I think all music should be digitally free...and all bands should make their life playing live...or in merch.
But that's easy for me to say cause I'm not a musician...lol

You’re right, the physical releases will end sooner or later, the future & present is digital. Music and bands become easier to promote, but the financial return will be less and less.
