How is this possible when your name is Morpha? Have you been living IN the Matrix?

Idk why, but I haven’t been able to get into a DT release since Deconstruction and Ghost.

Nothing that he has done since has been bad (including this), but nothing ever stands out or has the same power of his earlier work and the early DTP albums.

Nice review, as a huge Devin fanboy, this is everything I hoped to be but more! It's an overwhelming and challenging album but it's absolutely beautiful and completely unhinged and unrestrained, not gonna lie but I shed more than few tears while listening to Empath, it may come of as cheesy but it's genuine and natural and unlike Epicloud or Sky Blue, has a lot more to offer. Oh, and the easter eggs and references broke me a bit, the Stormbending section in Requiem or Ziltoid Goes Home on Total Collapse (bonus disc which is also a wonderful, more balanced and less all over the place work). Cheers!

Did you notice the "Ghost" reference in 'Curious Gods'?

im sooorta with you. i like his latest stuff but i don't think it's as consistent throughout the album as his older albums. some good songs and moments but also some lulls inbetween

I feel like the new stuff lacks the laser focus of those first four albums. I still really, really like the new stuff, but I think that's the big difference.

"the least inspired album cover of all time'

Have you actually seen the proper cover? The Sput image is just the slipcase for the most part.
