This was a sleeper hit for me, didn't connect with it at all at first but over time it reveals its subtle hooks. It's a full album listen too, the last few tracks could work as singles ("Disarray" of course was) and personally I think that's the weaker section of the record. It's no accident that the first three songs were released together, for me that's the most engrossing opening sequence of any album this year and that flow continues on quite well for the next several tracks as well.

it's pre much the same song writing as usual with an over wash, similar to 'Flotus' by Lambchop in that respect

"Always Trying to Work It Out" is my favorite... album keeps me waiting for a strong melody and there it is.
