ye, I probably won't be able to properly tour for the album I want to release unless I can work with a decent backing band on tour. I could just do the Mitch McVicker approach and go with loops, but even that feels weird.

I would probably rate it 2. It's not unlistenable by any means, but it's the very definition of 'generic alt rock/metal' album.
