This is pretty good, but as for now I enjoyed the first one quite a bit better

Really interesting record. Gonna take a few more listens to digest.

Some solid musicianship on display and holy shit the guy sounds like King Diamond himself. Good stuff manosg.

Music is indeed solid...not great or original, though.
I've seen this compared to Vektor...and i don't get it.
Music is solid but rather bland. Vocals are terrible, especially the high pitched "got my balls stuck in a drawer" kind...no variation at all. The guy sounds like he's forcing it each time he opens his mouth.
Listened to the album fully twice and i don't think it'll get another chance.

Agreed the vocals are the weakest part, but after a few listens they got tolerable. As far as the Vektor comparisons, the similarities start and end with the album art.

As much as I appreciate the effort and skill they've obviously put into this, I feel like they're overdoing it with the prog and sounding too much like an amalgam of the influences Manosg pointed out, instead of like something distinctly 'themselves'.
What's their debut like compared to this?

Finally got to jamming this, great/idiosyncratic tech metal, if only the high pitch vox had some vibrato in them, as they are the sound one-dimensional from a point further.
