He's referring to my grandpa quote I think. And it isn't there to imply they were ever the shit, just that they're more out of touch now than they've ever been before. I've never liked them, but they did hold a relevant place in the early days of their career.

It's pretty bad.

To be honest it's no different from all of their other albums. There is always the plagiarized sound of a popular band they commit too in this case BMTH. The cheap throw away hooks and general lack of passion from all band members but as a fan of bad music I usually get a miniscule amount of enjoyment from the fact that the songs are usually quite catchy despite being stolen.
No album veers from a 2.0 in any case and I always feel slightly bad about myself after listening to them. Their best album for me would be "The chronicles of life and death" as I feel they actually tried to try something a bit different but of course it failed bigtime so they came back with a killers/coldplay wannabe album after that.....ah bless them.
Was watching them at this year's Rock am Ring and they genuinely looked like a band completely struggling to realise their identity and the singer(can't even think of name) seemed so awkward with his interactions with the crowd.

“I never liked them”
Fuck you, you know your squeaky voiced ass was rocking TYATH like it was your bible. You’re not cool for denouncing your past self.
