I don't think album sales have anything to do with anything anymore. They have been touring pretty relentlessly in the US and that seems to be working out. The show I saw them at was a headline set at St. Vitus which is a decent sized metal club in Brooklyn and it looked like they came close to selling the venue out. Like I said, they were touring with Toothgrinder, but Skyharbor was clearly the bigger draw. It's pretty fortuitous that the Indian diaspora seems to be heavily into prog.

Skyharbor opened for *Red* earlier in the year? Oh boy. Transition to Nu-Metal almost complete.

The fact Skyharbor seems to frequently get compared to Linkin Park in recent articles is a little worrying. I get Dissent is an homage to LP, but this band sounds nothing like them as a whole.

Emery just sounds a lot like Chester. It's not a bad thing. It just is what it is.

I've mostly just seen that comparison in Indian media though

Just submitted the news article, but Aditya has left the band and Anup will be returning for at least their January and March shows. My guess is he may return to the band now that he is no longer busy with Intervals.

I'm even OK with Eric. I like his delivery. If only the songs were as good as they're capable of making.

A lot of what I didn't like about this initially has grown on me. I think in time this album will fit snugly within the whole of their discography–I liken it to Incubus's 'Morning View' which was also less complex and more chill compared to the band's earlier work.
Curious if Anup will rejoin the band full-time, and/or what direction they'll go for album 4.

Difference being that Morning View had the massive pop hits.

They'll bounce back. 2018 was rough for a lot of prog bands.

It'll just get tougher

Finally jammed this in full, super disappointed. I really like the previous 2 albums but this was bland.

Kind of bizarre isn't it. It never grew on me and I'm still as disappointed as I was on day 1.

The band's in a rough patch; they had to cancel their UK/EU tour because of Visa issues and they've parted with their drummer.
On the upside, maybe Anup will rejoin and they'll release new music within the year.

Yeah I saw that too. Sucks being an Indian band.

Gave this record another shot recently and it's kind of waning on me now.

Oh yeah, I still think Dim is up there with the top Skyharbor tracks.
