Alright so, I watched the "Fall" video
Certainly wasn't horrible - but it's increasingly clear to me what's wrong, or rather, what I particular don't like/am constantly disappointed by w/ the new Eminem shit

He's coasting almost entirely on pure technical skills and anger by this point, the shit that made Eminem classic on his first few records was the fact that the dude was both legitimately scary and genuinely funny. He wasn't shoving everything in your face in such an over-dramatized "I'm the fucking greatest and HERE'S WHY" kind of way that's just making everyone want him to pack it up by this point - it was such a casual, nasally fuck-you kind of delivery that did not let on whether or not he was joking in the slightest

And that's another thing, it also affects his actual jokes & whatever witty lines are coming out of this new shit. I'm sure there are at least a couple golden-era-level lines in these raps but again, the way he just fucking SHOVES them in your face with that delivery is so obnoxious and obvious it makes me just wanna either listen to the dudes he's trying to fit in with now or, better yet, old Eminem
