I see this band has reminded me yet again that melodeath is the worst sub genre ever

If by worst sub genre ever you mean literally the best sub genre ever, I agree.

Nothing more metal than a band of talentless Finns playing dive bars for beer tickets and hair straighteners. They better be careful not to spill kombucha in the keyboard!

I mean bro I can understand not liking this but calling them talentless is just flat out false lol.

These dudes remind me of like an Insmnium/Kalmah mixture.

Talentless is just false imo. If you base talent on skills and technical proficiency these guys have plenty. If you base it on songwriting I'd argue that these guys have good ears for powerful melodies that follow many key changes and harmonies. You might prefer atonality and/or dissonance more but to call these guys talentless because you don't even like their subgenre of choice is just stupid mate. Rant over.

Agreed Hawks, they're somewhere in between.

it sounds like Satellites and Astronauts

Never listened to this band before. So far it seems like this is a great entry point.

This was just another okay-ish Omnium Gatherum album. Nothing groundbreaking or innovative, but it's well made and a fun listen.

A couple of great cuts on this album, especially The Fearless Entity. Much more solid than Grey Heavens.

Listened to the first half last night, but quickly lost interest. There are some cool stretches within the songs, but I feel like they just don't come together. "Gods Go First" is quite catchy though.
