Can't get any more generic than that record. Vocals are hideous. And these hacks lashed on Haughm when he said he was considering to continue Agalloch without them.

The ridiculous and overrated influence of Scott Kellys will never end, will it?

This project was terribly disappointing anyway.

I never made it through the album, gave it a few shots. Not really upset that they split up. I do think Don Anderson still has some great stuff in him, I hope he comes back with something a bit better. Too bad about Haughm being an anti-semite too. Agalloch was my favorite band for so long. It's just such a shame.

I don't hate the vocals but they're definitely the weak point of this album and it could probably gain a whole 0.5+ with a different guy

As someone who discovered this record 1st (before hearing of either Agalloch or Giant Squid), this record fucking rules.

Yeah the production is noisy, but for those who bitch about it: Are You Not Fans of Black Metal? The genre priding itself on being painfully difficult to listen to.

Admit it everyone: People were hurt because Agalloch split up and they took it out on this LP.

PS.: I've become an avid fan of both acts after listening to this record.

This is not as bad as some people make it to be. If the first half of the record was as amazing as the second I would 4 this for sure.

i do think the production is its weakest point despite really liking it. the vocals just get lost in the mix because of how cavernous it is. that said on a whole i'm not a huge fan of billy anderson's production style so taste definitely plays a part there.
