Felt exactly the same! I think I fell in love with Nobody before Geyser -- and Geyser's easily one of her best songs. Rouses the album to an energy the rest never quite matches, but it feels very purposeful in that.

This is growing on me, I definitely enjoy it quite a bit more than Puberty 2.

everything kinda went through me on first listen (minus the singles) but I just came back to some of em yesterday and they're really great so I'll have to try this again.
Nobody is kinda perfect...unfortunately I feel like the key change kinda goes nowhere but everything before that is just wow

key change is a gimmick

I almost always think key changes are gimmicks but I love those of “nobody”—makes the song. I love that it’s two key changes rather than just one (usually the case) or multiple (cf. “love on top”)

Album of the year in CoS, Line of Best Fit and Vulture, so far.
I'm guessing this'll be a consensus favorite down the line.

I've listened to this twice.
I can't remember a single thing about it.
Were there vocals?

i reckon that critics felt the reception to puberty 2 wasn't rapturous enough so they delivered that on the far less good follow-up

I think this is better, but I agree it does seem like a bit of a correction.
