Yeah album has been trending on this site for a while.
I was already into this band. Will always be a fan of their previous stuff, but I really dig their new direction on this album. One of the surprises of this year imo.

Well they were a straightforward blend of blackened thrash, NWOBHM and to a lesser extent melodic death metal. They also had another vocalist, Chance Garnette, and the songs are shorter.
Not sure if you'll dig their previous stuff, I still love those albums and I've been jamming them a lot these days. Never got tired of this band. Really cool to see them changing their sound at this point.

Certainly does, Fen of Shadows stood out the first time, now I'm really digging The Vault (& others). Album is consistently enjoyable though. Really dig their sound here.

Still one of my favorite albums from this year.
I'm torn between Temple of the Sun and the title track as my favorite song on this album. Fen of Shadows and Carnarium Eternal are also remarkable here. Such a fun, violent romp.
