DMX's best album no question. His recognizable voice, aggressive delivery, and solid lyrics make this an interesting listen. The production for the most part is great, very dark and gritty.
The problem with this album is it's length. It's long... too long. The first half is definitely better than the second. Cut the filler and the skits and I'd give this a higher rating.
Hard to believe he was on top of the rap game for a few years... Back-to-back #1 albums and selling more than Jay-Z. Then he lost it...

yo are you kidding me? his arrest record is like 3 pages long. i love dmx and i think his albums are amazing. but you can't deny that dude has kinda gone off the deep end. did you hear the interviews with him where he talked about his child abuse as a kid?
