Never realised Mark E Smith paid for the band’s first album to be produced/released
Shame he’s not around to hear this one, they’ve come a long way

Wait Doof, you talked about a new account but this is your old account, and you are a user now??? What happened!?

Yeah, I’m demoted, which I’m not sure if I directly asked for or not :D
I will retire this account at 100 reviews, 20,000 comments and 5000 ratings.
Then the Doof will make a comeback special, like Elvis just with even more burgers 🕺 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔

Legendary feats.
Didn't know the account got demoted.
Oh well, nothing like a fresh start.

It will be a proper leet account, considering by the time I've got to 5000 ratings (I'm about 125 away) I'll have rated most everything in RYM's top 1000 chart and near enough everything in the Sput top 200, plus everything I can remember from my past/childhood. Only things I haven't rated are most soundtracks, computer game soundtracks and classical because I don't really think they're the same deal, not really 'albums' as such imo.
Have no idea what the ratings will end up like. Will there be many 5s? Will the pie look the same or will hip hop or jazz suddenly appear up there? Will the account have any ratings for what are considered established classics or will it all be obscure? Gonna be interesting.
If I get to 5000 ratings on that account it'll be a strange old mix of obscurities that's for sure.

As long as the account doesn't disappear is always nice to have it there as a testimony of days past, even if you continue your journey on another one.
Btw, started jamming this, "Hello" already giving me Therapy? vibes. Loving it.

Yeah, I can hear there's a bit of Therapy? in the mix, always a good thing
I wouldn't be impressed if they actually deleted this account lol, sure no one would, there won't be any overlapping ratings
|
| |
That would be unprecedented? I mean, one thing is a demotion, and another very different is erasing an account that even includes a fair amount of reviews. It would be absolutely dumb. But yeah... wouldn't be the weirdest thing happening around these parts.
|
| |
And this has only 2 ratings? C'mon people, you are missing out.
The closer was total balls. First 2 tracks are probably my top moments followed by "Tell Me". "Pull God from the Sky" drags a bit but when it exploded mid-track it won me over.
Def. not what i expected but glad I checked it. Now if I could only see them live...

Nice rating, ‘Sarifice’, ‘Balloon’ and ‘Laughing Gas’ are also worth trying from their previous album.
Maybe I prefer the second side here because it shows them stretching out their sound a bit, but the first two songs here are the catchiest.
What did you expect? Heavier? Their last album was a bit heavier, some lighter guitar tones on this one
|
| |
Maybe because of the imagery and because how much you like them I was expecting smth like The Tiger Lillies but it was smth completely different. I don't even know how to define them.
