Who is Kennedy Lapenna? Other than a lovely singer.

I did a quick google and it just seems like an acquaintance or friend. No professional background.

Yeah, I found her Instagram and she just seems like a random girl. Props to her, though.

I'm really digging the opener and Wrath.

Definitely. I think the heaviness is what really succeeds on this album. (minus Cerulean, that song is awful) Violator and Wrath seem a lot more inspired then some of the cleaner and lighter tracks.

I'll probably keep this at a 4 by virtue of the first two tracks sucking and the fact that it's not quite as good as Lumiere, which I have at a 4.5. Still love this thing though.

They just need to go back to the Famined type of production and they’d be way more successful.

The Guitar work on Floodgates is so sick. I wish he didn't use his cleans so much :/

Yea he relies far too much on his cleans on this album

Absolutely, and unlike the last album, the cleans aren't taken as high or utilized as well with the electronics. The whole album feels just a bit less ambitious and interesting than Lumiere.

this is what I wanted Lumiere to be. EVE is more streamlined and much more focused. The vocalist has gotten better and fits more naturally with the music. Overall, I'm very impressed with this album. It really surprised me how much I liked this.

Lumiere just sounded like a bunch of kids throwing everything they knew how to do in each song with no direction. This is much more consistent and focused. Everything feels so much more cohesive on here imo.

Man, this is the direction I want DGD to go in, but it will never happen.

why would you want dgd to go in this direction when you already have this band?

i still haven't listened to this, but are any songs "O N Y X" quality?
