I really like the first two tracks, but then both climb on the cross and dining alone get on my nerves (prob the melodies/whistling), and I despise the lalala-nanana's in my neighbour. throughout the record there's a couple of amazing tracks (esp big bad wolf is fantastic) but overall it's too hit-or-miss for me to really enjoy. the production feels too 'centered' as well.

I mean that's certainly fair enough, but all the things you just listed that annoy you are my favorite parts haha. Different strokes.

haha yeah I do see why others would like that. I know that I usually enjoy anything you give a high score, so thank you for all the great music I have discovered because of that!

nice; hopefully the next thing will resonate a little better
how do you feel about "Dining Alone" by the way? to me that's hands down the best song here

initially didn't like Dining Alone but I can say it's been growing on me. still nowhere near as fantastic as big bad wolf though, imo

The "weirdness" of this album comes off as incredibly basic and forced to me, it's a huge turn-off :/ Besides that I think this is decent to good, maybe it'll grow on me

I prefer Dining Alone but yeah Big Bad Wolf is an exemplary moment. Probably tied with Counting Sheep as my #2.

Counting Sheep is easily the best song for me

Did you revisit Dining Alone and/or Big Bad Wolf? I don't mean to overhype it but Dining Alone is probably the prettiest indie folk song I've heard in at least a year.

Unfortunately I found both unremarkable, not bad tho

Kids These Days is the perfect second song.

It really is. Love the lyrics, love the guitar. It's got such a unique sunsetter vibe.

This album is still revealing itself to me. I never remember Excuses or Tin Man being so good, but now they are. Record definitely has some layers/grows (and was superb to begin with).

This is pretty cool, not quite my jamalam but I can get into it to some extent. Dining Alone is the early standout to me.
