Damn, this embodies everything that is so great about the greek BM scene: mid-paced tempos, strong synth presence, bombastic riffs + ultra-melodic leads, perfect pitch on the screams/harsh vox and acoustic guitars.

had a Varathron Marathon over the past few days and out of their discography, this is my favorite easily. it just has this wonderfully mystical and ritualistic atmosphere that makes every song feel like a satanic rite or demonic invocation. it's awesome and unlike any of their albums before it.
